Reclaim Intimacy

Any unwanted sexual behavior, act, or communication to which a person has not given consent, or does not have the legal right to consent to, including that which is threatening, violent, forced, or coercive. Can occur both on- and offline. 

Any sexual act committed without freely-given consent in the context of a romantic and/or sexual relationship, regardless of the age of the partner(s) involved. May include rape, pressure to be sexual after a fight, coercion into sex, ignoring safe words, sabotaging birth control/"stealthing," etc.

Many betrayed partners learn that they have experienced IPSV.

The penetration, to any degree, of the vagina or anus with any body part or object, or oral penetration by a sex organ of another person, without freely-given consent. Includes statutory rape, date rape, incest, coerced sex, 'duty' sex, and more. 

Defined as a crime that happens when someone engages in any type of sexual activity, sexually gratifying interactions, and any other form of sexual interaction with intention to exploit or violate a child. Includes COCSA, minors of differing developmental statuses engaging in 'agreed-upon' sexual behavior, and more. Refers to sexual abuse or contact between family members, by blood, adoption, or law, within a shared household or extended family. This contact may be physical (i.e., molestation), verbal (i.e., sexual comments or conversations), non-physical (i.e., taking sexualized pictures of a family member without their knowledge), manipulative (i.e., coercing a family member to 'pose' for sexually suggestive images), and/or emotional (i.e., grooming).

Covert incest, aka emotional incest, refers to circumstances in which a parent or caregiver uses a child to meet their emotional needs in ways that are inappropriate and confusing, like turning the child into a surrogate partner or confidante.

Any unwelcome behavior of a sexual nature that offends, humiliates, or intimidates a person, or that interferes with their work performance, or creates a hostile environment. Includes leering, catcalling, quid pro quo, and more.

Refers to any nonconsensual, sexually abusive/exploitative behavior carried out using technology or online platforms, including use of artificial intelligence (AI). Includes deepfakes, "revenge porn," sextortion/blackmail, and more.

Removing a condom during sex, and/or not putting one on in the first place, without the knowledge and consent of one's partner. Often a form of romantic relationship-based abuse, such as IPV/DV.

Refers to Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) conducted by another child. Occurs when a minor is pressured, tricked, manipulated, or forced into sexual activity, touched in a sexual manner, exposed to sexual content, and otherwise sexually harmed or exploited by another minor.
